While I tend to focus on all the positives, in business, there are challenges.
One of the main challenges is updating and implementing new systems as the business continues to grow. This includes investing in software to automate more which reduces errors and improves efficiency. It involves setting up and learning new systems and training staff.
As a business owner who delivers some of the services myself, focusing on my own projects while managing the different aspects of the business: hiring, training and guiding support staff, managing the legal, marketing, financial, technical and customer relations aspects is a constant balancing act.
As RMC continues to grow I'm learning to delegate more and I'm choosier about the projects I accept. It is challenging! In all of this, prioritizing my health and well-being – during a pandemic nonetheless – has been difficult.
I am hopeful and look forward to 2022. A new year always represents hope and a new start. I enjoy setting goals and then hitting them out of the park and I look forward to all the possibilities the new year will bring.
