Rebecca is an empowered and self-motivated person. Diligent in her work, she is known for punctuality and accuracy in the delivery of projects, guaranteed to satisfy the needs of her clients. With a passion for language and international relations, she speaks six (6) languages inclusive of French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and English. She also has training in anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), project management, international protocol, diplomacy and etiquette, and export awareness.
Rebecca earned her M.Sc. degree in International Relations and her B.A. degree in Spanish with Economics from the University of the West Indies and holds certificates in translation from City, University of London and New York University. She receives regular training on financial industry matters due to her involvement in the credit union movement in Trinidad and Tobago. She also attends industry events annually in the areas of translation, interpreting and intercultural coaching.

Ms. Cockburn previously held the position of foreign language specialist in the Trinidad and Tobago Government initiative entitled Spanish As the First Foreign Language. She also worked in the consular department of a Latin American diplomatic mission in Port of Spain.

When she is not immersed in a translation project, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, reading and exercising.

Gillian is a dynamic and versatile individual with a thirst for knowledge enforced by her many qualifications, which are not restricted to language, but span fields such as technology and law. ​Over the years, she has gathered a broad knowledge of multiple software/applications and programs and is au courant with ever-evolving technology, especially as it applies to the translation industry. It goes without saying that with her diverse experience, Gillian brings a lot to the table with a background in translation, IT, project management and law.

Spanish to English and English to Spanish Legal Translator and Interpreter

Aracelys is a Translator and Interpreter residing in Trinidad and Tobago. She was born in Venezuela but attained her formative education in Trinidad before returning to her home country to continue her tertiary studies. At the age of 11 she began translating ​pop songs from English to Spanish for the Latin American students who were studying in Trinidad and sold her bilingual song books to her “clients” for 10 cents a book. Since then, translating and interpreting have been her passion, a passion she wholeheartedly infuses into each translation she undertakes.

Chelsea is a gifted multilingual professional with a love for languages and experience in the fields of education, international relations and event management. ​She has worked with international professionals and ambassadors, both local and foreign, as a Foreign Service Officer. She also teaches language at her Alma Mater gaining the opportunity to mould future linguists. Chelsea’s passion is not only for languages but also for people which puts her in the perfect position to excel at her job.

Michael has a wealth of experience in translation, interpreting, education, administration and trade. He worked for eight years with the Embassy of Mexico, Trinidad as an Administrative Assistant and facilitated the Spanish for Business Purposes Workshop to IMBA ​students at the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business. Michael has a keen interest in the Spanish language and Latin American culture after living and studying in Mexico. He is very service oriented and immensely popular with clients because of his warm and engaging personality.

​Carlos is a Venezuelan freelance translator with over 37 years of experience. After studying and living in New York, he started freelancing for both Toyota and Universidad de Oriente. ​Many of his scientific translations have ​been published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals. His sworn translations ​have helped many asylum seekers and investors settle in the United States and Canada.  He founded Traduce, C.A., a translation company, in 1993; and in 1997, Academia Traduce, an EFL institute doubling as a venue for teaching Spanish as a Second Language. Now residing in Vigo, Spain, he is adamant about continuing his translation career.

​Carlos is a native speaker of Spanish with a near-native command of English, college-educated in the US in Economics and Food Science at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg. ​His career spans 20 years ​including the ​recent translation ​of surgical procedures in congenital heart disease (120,000 words), ​financial and legal documents, as well as the documentation required to support over 100 asylum cases in English-speaking countries. ​During the COVID-19 pandemic he volunteered with the translation of 20,000 words and counting. While not at the laptop he enjoys tennis, a hack in the woods with his pinto horse Vulcano and reading Bach at the guitar.
